A15 and M Empire have joined the NVIDIA VC Alliance, expanding the global investor network’s presence in Egypt as the country’s artificial intelligence ecosystem continues to grow across startups, developers, investors and digital infrastructure, according to NVIDIA.
NVIDIA said the addition of the two Egyptian investment firms will connect more local investors with its global startup ecosystem, as activity around AI entrepreneurship and investment continues to gain momentum in the country.
The move comes alongside a growing number of startup and investor engagements in Egypt. NVIDIA highlighted collaborations and events involving A15, RiseUp, Plug and Play, Flat6Labs and Algebra Ventures, among others.
In July, NVIDIA and A15 hosted an event that brought leading Egyptian founders together with NVIDIA’s global ecosystem, providing a platform for local entrepreneurs to connect with the company’s international network.
The expansion of the NVIDIA VC Alliance comes as Egypt’s AI ecosystem moves beyond startup activity and talent development toward building the infrastructure required to develop and deploy AI applications locally.
$400 Million Data Center Investment
NVIDIA also highlighted developments in Egypt’s data center infrastructure.
In June, Egypt’s National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority licensed Hassan Allam Data Centers to build and operate data centers in the country.
Under the license, Hassan Allam Utilities and A15 agreed to develop a new data center with an estimated investment of $400 million.
The project adds to growing efforts to expand local computing capacity, which NVIDIA identifies as a key requirement for enabling developers and enterprises to train, fine-tune and deploy AI models closer to where data is generated.
Egypt’s AI Talent Base Expands
NVIDIA said the number of learners using its Deep Learning Institute in Egypt increased more than tenfold in a single year, highlighting the rapid expansion of the country’s AI developer and technical talent base.
Egypt is also home to a growing group of startups participating in NVIDIA Inception, the company’s program for AI startups.
Among the Egyptian companies highlighted by NVIDIA are Aidera, Intella, Marses Robotics, Proteinea, Stakpak, Paymob and Thndr.
These companies operate across areas including enterprise intelligence, Arabic speech technology, robotics, healthcare, developer operations and financial technology.
A15’s participation in the NVIDIA VC Alliance comes alongside the continued development of Egypt’s broader AI investment ecosystem, with investors, startups and technology companies increasingly connected to NVIDIA’s global network.
NVIDIA said the developments in Egypt reflect a broader shift across Africa, where AI ecosystems are moving from discussions around future potential toward building the infrastructure, talent and companies needed to deploy AI at scale.
